Amazon (via Blu-ray.com) have revealed a special limited edition spaceship packaging for E.T. The Extra‐Terrestrial due out on 31 October. One might affectionately refer to this as “needless plastic”, and doesn’t look like something that will survive an international shipment let alone several grabs for that remastered disc inside. Stick to the standard, and $100 cheaper, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Anniversary Edition (Combo Pack).
Featuring an all‐new, digitally remastered picture that delivers six times the resolution of DVD, as well as all‐new 7.1 surround sound, the E.T. The Extra‐Terrestrial Anniversary Edition Blu‐ray ™ triple play includes the 1982 theatrical movie, an all‐new interview with director Steven Spielberg and “The E.T.
